Some six years from my initial request for police log information, I am at long last able to fulfil this minor public service promise of the "information superhighway" by making such information available on-line. At 6 years an inch it is obviously gonna be a long time before the information age superhighway actually gets to the efficient future we should be already living in.

I received this e-mail:

quote:

To whom it may concern,

I did a query on my name using “Google” yesterday and the following information (listed below in red) was retrieved. The core of this information is not accurate and needs to be corrected to represent what actually occurred.

Thursday, February 08, 2007
11:20:00 AM
Officer Farry arrested Gorason Lloyd, 59, of Mendham on a Motor Vehicle Warrant out of Ridgewood NJ. The $89.00 Bail was posted and he was released.

I was not arrested! Officer Farry came to my home with an apparent warrant for my arrest – I was not there. Neither I nor my wife was aware that a ticket was pending. My wife informed Officer Farry upon reviewing the ticket that this ticket belonged to my daughter (the car is in my name) and paid the $89.00 while he was there. My wife then called me at work and I immediately went to the police department and signed some paperwork closing this case. To have something like this appear on the Internet casts a negative impression of me in the community that I lived in for 24 years.

I would appreciate a correction such that when my name comes up again on the Mendham Borough Police Blotter it would state that I was not arrested and this situation was resolved in a cooperative manner. I feel very strongly about this and would appreciate a response.

Regards,
Gorason G. Lloyd

My response to Mr. Lloyd:

"To whom it may concern"

As what I posted was an official "public" government record... I think the "to whom" should be the grossly over paid flat foot (fat ass) who couldn't write an accurate one sentence summation of the event. The average police incident cost the taxpayers something like $2,000... for that price we should demand better than inaccurate bullshit.

needs to be corrected to represent what actually occurred.

The entire incompetent, thieving, and lying Government needs to be "corrected"

Officer Farry came to my home...

The last time the cops came to my home, they had my arrested plants in the car trunk.

To have something like this appear on the Internet casts a negative impression of me in the community that I lived in for 24 years.

"Public" Records appearing on the Internet isn't the problem. An asshole citizenry, voting for incompetent, overpaid, fascist assholes, is the problem.

I would appreciate a correction

It's a fucking message board for Christ's sakes... you could post the goddamn correction yourself.

resolved in a cooperative manner

except they maligned you in "their" official report.

I feel very strongly about this and would appreciate a response.

My response is fuck you... and I would suggest you take your complaint to "the man", or the assholes who vote his kind in to power.

Some six years from my initial request for police log information, I am at long last able to fulfil this minor public service promise of the "information superhighway" by making such information available on-line. At 6 years an inch it is obviously gonna be a long time before the information age superhighway actually gets to the efficient future we should be already living in.

Is there a way to get this police blotter for Mendham township as well? That would be great.

I guess I would say of course there's "a way"... The question is, is there enough "will"? Dealing with these fascist governments, regarding these simple rights of citizenship, taxes one's wallet, one's time, and one's patience. How much would you pay for the information? How much time are you willing to expend to get it? ...and how willing are you to endure inquisition style insults to your intelligence and humanity, for simply asking a government salaried "public servant" asshole to do their fucking job?

The sad truth is my will is waning, I get a lot more grief then gratitude for the efforts I've made over the past 7 years to make "your government" less secret, and more accountable. As there is no visible evidence of any community support for this website, or my efforts, I am probably doing the cause of open government more harm than good. In a practical sense I've proved, you can't fight city hall, and that you can't fight anything, even popular ignorance, if you have to recruit an army from a citizenry fat and fascist on a diet of arrogance and apathy.

What if someone has to go to the bathroom as an emergency and they don't have access to one as either they aren't in a store or restaurant with one or they are simply refused access? What if they have a medical problem and just have to go as with Diabetes or various kidney and heart ailments where the illness or medicines simply make them go much more often? What if they are discreet and behind a tree or building? Is that in front of the public? Do we even want to get involved with these people's bathroom emergencies if they use some discretion. I assume he wasn't going to the bathroom in the center of the shopping center. Do we even want to criminalize bathroom behavior of this sort? And do we want to use valuable court time analyzing and punishing people in this way?
